About the Trust
As Yukoners, we all share a legacy and a responsibility—to ensure the continued well-being of fish and wildlife populations in the territory for the use and enjoyment of all residents and future generations.
For this reason, the signatories of the Umbrella Final Agreement (UFA) created an independent Yukon Fish and Wildlife Enhancement Trust Fund under Chapter 27 of the UFA.
Since its founding in 1995, the Trust has contributed towards a wide variety of projects having a significant benefit to the continuing enhancement, restoration and protection of fish and wildlife and their habitats throughout Yukon.
We all enjoy the benefits of living where we do. But let’s make sure that our children and grandchildren will be able to as well!
Call for proposals
Do you have a project that benefits fish, wildlife, or habitats that you think is worth funding?
Every year the Trust announces a call for proposals in early January. The deadline for proposals is March 1st at 4:00 pm (Yukon time).
Thinking of applying? You can request up to a maximum of $15,000 for your project!
