Court appoints receiver to take over Victoria Gold, granting Yukon gov’t’s request

After a failure at its Eagle mine near Mayo, Yukon, Victoria Gold has faced financial difficulties. Now it’s facing a potential class action lawsuit through a Vancouver firm and it’s vowing to fight the Yukon government’s and a local First Nation’s attempts to appoint a receiver.
