Summary of proposed regulation change:

Proposal involves two components related to Northern Pike catch limit on Teslin Lake as follows:

  1. Remove slot size for Northern Pike (with current restriction of only 1 individual over 41 inches to remain in place)
  2. Revert catch limits of this species back to General Regulations (daily catch limit of 5 fish + possession limit of 10 fish)

Board recommendation:

The Board recommended the Minister accept the proposal.

Status of Board recommendation:

The Minister of Environment set aside the Board’s recommendation.

Outcome in regulation:

Not yet enacted in legislation. No regulation has come into effect.
