Public Review of Draft Management Plan for Elk in Yukon (2015)

In upholding its role as the primary instrument of fish and wildlife management in the Yukon, the Yukon Fish and Wildlife Management Board (YFWMB) is now leading the public review of the Draft Management Plan for Elk in the Yukon (2015).  

The public review period for this plan is between September 14, 2015 and October 13, 2015, inclusively.  YFWMB will then consider all comments received, and provide a recommendation to the Minister, Environment Yukon regarding the management plan .

The following documents are available to assist in your review:

  2. Summary of changes between 2008 and 2015 plan
  3. 2015 – 2016 Elk / Agriculture Conflict Hunt – highlights & guidelines

Please provide your feedback on the Draft Management Plan for Elk in the Yukon (2015) through this online survey.

Paper copies of the plan and survey are also available through the Yukon Fish and Wildlife Management Board.

YFWMB plans to host public meetings in Carmacks, Haines Junction and Whitehorse – more details to follow!
